While showrunner Rafe Judkins’ vision made some drastic changes to the world of Robert Jordan’s books, the reception was fairly positive. The series has a major following interested in seeing them finally get the adaptation they deserve. It’s a tough place to leave off, with all its “one step forward, two steps back” energy. Rand set off on his own to go into hiding, Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) found himself betrayed by a trusted ally, and Moiraine was spiritually cut off from her power and her connection with Lan. And yet, their initial attack on the Dark One (Fares Fares) left them all feeling nearly defeated. And yes, Egwene (Madeleine Madden) and Nynaeve (Zoë Robins) had come into their own powers. ![]() ![]() ![]() When The Wheel of Time season 1 concluded on Amazon in December 2021, it was on a bittersweet note: Yes, Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) and her Warder Lan (Daniel Henney) had found Rand (Josha Stradowski), who is the Dragon Reborn. Unfortunately, fans still have a bit of a wait to see what comes next for our beloved ta’veren season 2 isn’t set for release until Sept. The Wheel of Time is finally coming back, a massive relief to those who have been waiting for the next chapter in Amazon’s premiere high-fantasy adaptation (or, at least, the first one out of the gate ahead of The Lord of the Rings : Rings of Power). ![]()
